Feedback from our first Colorado RPM was that people wanted layouts there too. The 2025 Colorado RPM is opening up space for layouts! The new venue will have plenty of space for layouts of all shapes and sizes.
WHY do the layout participants need to pay the registration fee?
At a train show, layouts are often subsidized and receive free admission for all the layout members. These train shows have the public attending to cover the overhead of the venue and the layouts are the entertainment for them.
An RPM is a model railroad “Trade Show” for hobby participants. Even though you are attending with your layout, you are a participant of the RPM. You can attend the clinics, put something on the display tables, enter the door prize drawing, talk directly with industry manufacturers, and shop with vendors. You are also encouraged to write up your layout section and enter it as a display in place.
